The story of Bethel World Outreach Church (now Bethel Robbinsdale) cannot be told without acknowledging the wisdom and timing of God’s divine purpose. In 1986, Rev. Natt J. Friday and his wife, Margaret, established its first congregation in Monrovia, Liberia, West Africa. The church was originally called Bethel Full Gospel Church to reflect the aim of preaching a gospel which emphasizes the power encounter, signs and wonders, and social transformation greatly needed in a church. The name change was seen as a broadening of the mission to bring the gospel to all people everywhere.
In January 1997 a group of committed Christians gathered in a room at Sabathani Community Center in Minneapolis, Minnesota to plan and pray for a church. Two months later Bethel World Outreach Church (now Bethel Robbinsdale)- Minnesota held its first service in the chapel of Greater Minnesota Association of Evangelicals in Richfield, Minnesota. Today, with about 250 members, and planted branches world-wide, the church continues to win the lost at all cost!
